Amad Diallo Extends Manchester United Contract Until 2030
Posted on January 10, 2025
Manchester United winger Amad Diallo has signed a new five-and-a-half-year contract that will keep him at the club until June 2030. The 22-year-old Ivorian’s previous deal was set to expire at the end of the current season, but United has opted to secure his future with fresh terms following his impressive performances. Diallo has made a notable impact this season, scoring six goals in 27 appearances.
In expressing his pride over the new contract, Diallo stated, "I have had some incredible moments with this club already, but there is so much more to come." He emphasized his ambitions and desire to help the team achieve success, reflecting a positive outlook despite the challenges faced during the current campaign. Technical director Jason Wilcox praised Diallo's development, highlighting his quality, versatility, and determination as key factors for his role in the club's future.
Diallo joined Manchester United in January 2021 from Atalanta and has since had a transformative loan spell at Sunderland, where he scored 14 goals in 42 matches. Despite facing injury setbacks, including a knee injury that sidelined him for five months, he has established himself as a first-team regular this season. Diallo's contributions include a dramatic late goal in an FA Cup quarter-final against Liverpool and a crucial stoppage-time winner against Manchester City, showcasing his potential to become a significant player for the club moving forward.
