Coach Kim Sang Sik Celebrates $20,000 Tet Bonus After Historic ASEAN Cup Victory

Coach Kim Sang Sik and the Vietnamese national football team were rewarded for their remarkable achievement at the 2024 ASEAN Cup with a significant Tet bonus. SHB Bank presented a total of 1 billion VND (approximately $40,800) to recognize their championship win. This included a personal bonus of 500 million VND (around $20,400) for Coach Kim Sang Sik, which was delivered by Do Quang Vinh, the Vice Chairman of SHB’s Board of Directors, prior to a V-League match.
The financial incentives reflect SHB Bank’s ongoing support for the national team, contributing a total of 7.4 billion VND (approximately $302,000) in bonuses following the team's triumph. Earlier contributions included 2 billion VND awarded to the national team and an additional 4.4 billion VND distributed among ten players from Hanoi FC and CAHN Football Club. Notable players, including Do Duy Manh and Nguyen Quang Hai, received substantial sums, further illustrating the rewards for their outstanding performances.
Expressing gratitude for the Tet bonus, Coach Kim emphasized his commitment to enhancing Vietnamese football. He stated, "I am deeply grateful for this reward. I will continue to give my best to contribute to Vietnamese football." The national team has garnered over 40 billion VND (approximately $1.6 million) in total bonuses from various sponsors after their ASEAN Cup victory, showcasing the growing recognition and support for football in Vietnam.
