Tien Linh Achieves 100 Career Goals and Tops V-League Scoring Charts
Posted on February 10, 2025
Vietnamese striker Tien Linh has reached a significant milestone in his football career by scoring his 100th career goal at the age of 27. This achievement places him among the elite strikers in Vietnam’s football history. Linh accomplished this feat during Binh Duong’s 2-1 victory against Quang Nam in Round 12 of the LPBank V-League 2024/25 season, where he netted the team’s second goal.
With this latest goal, Tien Linh leads the V-League Golden Boot race with a total of 8 goals this season, surpassing competitors Leo Artur from CAHN and Xuan Son from Nam Dinh, both of whom have scored 7 goals. Throughout his career, Linh has scored 75 goals for Binh Duong FC and 25 goals for the Vietnam national team, marking him as a pivotal player for both club and country.
This season presents a golden opportunity for Tien Linh to potentially break his personal best scoring record from 2018, where he netted 15 goals. With Xuan Son currently sidelined due to injury, Linh’s chances of claiming the V-League Golden Boot award seem promising. His outstanding performances also position him as a strong candidate for the prestigious Vietnam Golden Ball 2024 award, further underscoring his impact in Vietnamese football.
