Gibbs-White, who has been instrumental in helping Nottingham Forest secure a strong position in the Premier League, initially felt he had done enough to warrant selection. He acknowledged the competition for places within the England team but respected Tuchel's decision when he was not included. The midfielder emphasized that he was ready to accept the manager's judgment, stating, "I will respect that." After being invited to join the squad, Gibbs-White couldn't hide his excitement, saying, "There was no question there. I was smiling from ear-to-ear."
During Tuchel's first training session, Gibbs-White noted the manager's intensity and clarity in what he expects from his players. He appreciated Tuchel's proactive approach in building relationships with the squad before their first meeting. As Nottingham Forest aims for a strong finish to their season and potential Champions League qualification, Gibbs-White feels confident and in great form, looking forward to contributing to both his club and country.
