Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen has revealed that he anticipates departing the club when his contract expires this summer. The 33-year-old Danish international, who joined United in 2022 on a free transfer, expressed his readiness to seek new opportunities, indicating that discussions regarding a contract extension have yet to occur.
Eriksen has made a total of 27 appearances this season but has only started six of his 14 matches under the new manager, Ruben Amorim. His limited playing time has prompted speculation about his future, and he seems resigned to the possibility of moving on. "In my head, I'm prepared to find something new," Eriksen stated in an interview with Danish media outlet TV2, suggesting that he has not received any communication from the club about extending his stay.
As Eriksen prepares for the upcoming Nations League quarter-final against Portugal, he reflects on his time at Manchester United, acknowledging the uncertainty surrounding his future. With his contract nearing its end, it remains to be seen what destination awaits the experienced midfielder, who has enjoyed a successful career in top-flight football.
