The incident occurred around 6 PM BST on Water Street, as thousands gathered to celebrate the team's Premier League victory. Reports indicate that 27 individuals were injured, with two suffering serious injuries, including one child.

Merseyside Police confirmed that the arrested man is believed to be the driver of the vehicle involved in the collision. Among the injured, four children were treated, and a cyclist-paramedic was also struck but fortunately did not sustain any injuries.
