Arsenal Eye Real Madrid's Rodrygo as They Plan Summer Reinforcements

Posted on June 06, 2025

Arsenal is reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid winger Rodrygo as part of their strategy to enhance their attacking options this summer. The Gunners are looking to boost their squad depth and have placed Rodrygo high on their left-wing shortlist, which also includes players such as Nico Williams, Leroy Sane, and Morgan Rogers.

With the club's new sporting director, Andrea Berta, actively assessing potential signings, Arsenal is keen on solidifying both the winger and striker positions. Rodrygo, who is currently under contract with Real Madrid for another three years, has yet to determine his future, and recent reports suggest he will hold talks with the club’s new manager, Xabi Alonso.

Arsenal is also targeting a striker, with names like Newcastle's Alexander Isak, Sporting's Viktor Gyokeres, and RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko being considered. However, securing Isak may prove challenging as Newcastle is determined to retain him, especially after qualifying for the Champions League.

In addition to their pursuit of Rodrygo, Arsenal is also in discussions regarding a potential move for Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, who is available due to a release clause in his contract. The Gunners are also looking to finalize a deal for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi, indicating a proactive approach to strengthening their team for the upcoming season.

As Arsenal gears up for another competitive campaign, the potential acquisition of Rodrygo could significantly enhance their attacking capabilities, making them a formidable force in the Premier League and beyond. The club's focus on balancing experience and youthful talent will be crucial as they seek to improve on last season's performances.
