Burnley Secures £5m Deal for Kyle Walker from Manchester City
Posted on July 05, 2025
Burnley Football Club has reached an agreement with Manchester City to sign defender Kyle Walker for a reported fee of £5 million. The experienced England international has successfully completed his medical with the newly promoted Premier League side, paving the way for his move to Turf Moor.
Walker, who has entered the final year of his contract at Manchester City, previously spent last season on loan at AC Milan but did not secure a permanent deal. His transfer to Burnley is expected to be finalized in the coming days, with discussions around a two-year contract already underway. Walker’s familiarity with Burnley’s manager, Scott Parker, from their time together at Tottenham between 2011 and 2013, could facilitate a smooth integration into the squad.
This transfer marks Walker as Burnley’s fifth new signing of the summer, joining a group that includes players such as Loum Tchouana and Axel Tuanzebe. Burnley is actively reshaping its roster ahead of the new season, having also made several permanent deals for loan players from the previous campaign.
As Burnley prepares for their return to the Premier League, Walker’s experience and leadership will be invaluable as they look to establish themselves in the top flight once again.
