Tottenham Finalizes £55m Deal for Mohammed Kudus from West Ham
Posted on July 10, 2025
Tottenham Hotspur has reached an agreement with West Ham United to sign midfielder Mohammed Kudus for £55 million. The Ghanaian international is expected to undergo a medical examination shortly before signing a long-term contract with the North London club. This transfer comes after Spurs had an initial bid of £50 million rejected by West Ham, but negotiations have concluded successfully.
Kudus joined West Ham in the summer of 2023 for £38 million from Ajax and has made a significant impact, featuring in 65 Premier League matches, during which he scored 13 goals and provided nine assists. His performance has caught the attention of several top clubs, but Kudus has reportedly prioritized a move to Tottenham, indicating his desire to play under their management.
Despite a less impressive season in the previous campaign, where he scored only five goals compared to 14 the year before, Kudus remains a highly rated prospect. His role at West Ham was often hampered due to tactical decisions made by head coach Graham Potter, who deployed him in positions that did not fully utilize his strengths. Moving to Tottenham presents an opportunity for Kudus to re-establish himself and potentially thrive in a system that better suits his abilities.
