Liverpool Reject Bayern Munich's £58.6 Million Offer for Luis Diaz

Posted on July 16, 2025

Liverpool has turned down a £58.6 million opening bid from Bayern Munich for forward Luis Diaz, emphasizing that the Colombian international is not for sale. The German club expressed interest earlier this month, but Liverpool maintained their stance on Diaz, who has become a key player in their squad since joining from Porto in January 2022.

Diaz, whose contract runs until the summer of 2027, scored a total of 22 goals last season, including 13 in the Premier League, contributing significantly to Liverpool's title victory by a margin of 10 points. The club values him at over £87 million, reflecting his importance to their plans moving forward. Interest in Diaz has also come from Manchester City and clubs in Saudi Arabia, highlighting his growing reputation in European football.

While Liverpool is firm in their decision to keep Diaz, they are actively seeking to bolster their attacking options, with Newcastle's Alexander Isak being a primary target. The Premier League champions have reportedly made genuine efforts to secure Isak in recent days and are exploring other potential center-forward options to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
