Chelsea Sets Asking Price for Nicolas Jackson Amid Manchester United Interest

Posted on July 22, 2025

Chelsea has reportedly set an asking price for striker Nicolas Jackson, valuing him between £80 million and £100 million amid interest from Manchester United and other clubs. The 24-year-old Senegal international has shown promise but has faced increased competition for playing time following the arrivals of new signings Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, who both play in similar positions.

Despite interest from Manchester United and clubs in Europe and Saudi Arabia, Chelsea finds itself under no immediate pressure to sell Jackson, as he has eight years remaining on his current contract. Should he leave, the club is likely to use the £79 million transfer fee Liverpool paid for Hugo Ekitike as a benchmark for any potential deal.

Jackson's recent performances have been scrutinized, particularly after he played a limited role in Chelsea's Club World Cup-winning campaign. However, he has amassed a notable 34 goal contributions over the last two Premier League seasons, which Chelsea believes makes him a more valuable asset compared to Ekitike, who has recorded 29 contributions in the Bundesliga.

The Blues are currently planning their roster moves, with any potential incomings being contingent on outgoing transfers. If Jackson were to depart, Chelsea may look to sign a wide player instead, given that Pedro can also play centrally. Players like Xavi Simons, Alejandro Garnacho, Morgan Rogers, and Kenan Yildiz are reportedly on Chelsea's radar as they consider their options moving forward.
