Benjamin Sesko: Manchester United Striker Out for About a Month with Knee Injury

Posted on November 18, 2025

Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko is set to be sidelined for approximately a month due to a knee injury he sustained during a match against Tottenham Hotspur on November 8. The 22-year-old, who joined United from RB Leipzig for £74 million in August, did not complete the match after coming on as a substitute.

Initially uncertain about the severity of the injury, the club has now confirmed that Sesko will miss several weeks, ruling him out of Slovenia's World Cup qualifying games. While concerns about a major injury were downplayed, the exact duration of his absence is still being finalized.

Head coach Ruben Amorim is expected to provide further updates on Sesko's condition in a press conference scheduled ahead of their next match against Everton. This situation coincides with the impending departures of fellow forwards Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo for the Africa Cup of Nations, which starts on December 21.

In his short time at United, Sesko has made 12 appearances, scoring twice. His absence will be felt as the team navigates an important phase of the season. This injury adds to the challenges United face with their attacking lineup as they aim to secure vital points in the Premier League.
