He scored his debut goal on August 20th in a 2-0 victory against Manchester United, helping the team take the lead. In the year-end home match against Bournemouth, which ended in a 3-1 victory, he netted another goal. Currently, he has made 33 appearances across all competitions. Pape Sarr was signed by the club in August 2021 from Metz and was subsequently loaned back to Metz. In the 2021/22 season, he made 27 appearances for Metz and earned a spot in the Senegal national team in February 2022.
