Tottenham Hotspur, adding depth to its forward options, has confirmed the loan signing of the 27-year-old German striker Timo Werner from RB Leipzig until the end of the season. The agreement includes the provision for Tottenham to make the deal permanent in the summer.

Although Werner only managed to net two goals in 14 appearances this season for Leipzig and was absent for a recent friendly due to transfer talks with Tottenham, his prospects remain high. Considering the existing absence of Son Heung-min and injured James Maddison from Tottenham's squad, Werner’s entry offers timely support to Tottenham's attacking lineup.

Having previously earned 57 caps for Germany, Werner could be fielded in Tottenham's upcoming Premier League game against Manchester United, subject to international clearance.
