Manchester United players have begun to doubt whether head coach Ten Hag can remain in charge until next season

According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United players have begun to doubt whether head coach Ten Hag can remain in charge until next season.
Previously, despite some complaints from players about the intensity of Ten Hag's training, he still received widespread support from the dressing room. However, the Daily Mail understands that many Manchester United players believe the club's new owners, the Emirati group, are likely to make changes to the team after the season ends and dismiss the Dutch coach after two years in charge.
Although Ten Hag has insisted he is on the same page with Manchester United's new owners, Sir Rattray Cliff and Emirati Sports Director Sir Dave Bresford, and feels they share mutual ideas after positive exchanges, the Dutch coach has also revealed to the coaching staff and agents that his future at Old Trafford is uncertain.
The Emirati group has appointed Omar Belada as Manchester United's new CEO and is close to hiring Dan Ashworth as football director, with plans to address Ten Hag's future at the end of the season. If Ten Hag can lead Manchester United to win the FA Cup and secure qualification for the Champions League next season, or even finish fifth in the season, he may have a chance to stay on. However, Manchester United suffered their second defeat of the season in last weekend's Manchester derby, leaving them behind Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur in the race for Champions League qualification, while Ten Hag's team faces a strong opponent in Liverpool in the next cup game, adding some uncertainty to Manchester United's performance this season.
Injuries have seriously affected Ten Hag's second season in charge of Manchester United, with the team having 47 player absences this season alone. In just the past two games, Bruno Fernandes, Rafael Varane, Rashford, and Evans have all played in a semi-fit condition. However, Ten Hag took a gamble in last month's game against Luton by using Luke Shaw, which was surprising. Shaw had just been injured the week before the game against Aston Villa, and this gamble almost resulted in the player being sidelined for the season.
In addition, some Manchester United players are unhappy with the intensity of training and Ten Hag and his assistant Van der Haek's tough attitude. Some players are also unhappy that there was no extra day off after the Luton game, despite Manchester United having no midweek fixture. For Ten Hag to gain the trust and support of the players, he needs to improve his training methods and change his attitude towards the players, becoming more tolerant to ensure that the players can stay healthy for the remaining time of the season.
