Saudi Arabia still wants to buy Salah even though he value £150 million
Posted on April 29, 2024
Recently, according to Football Insider journalist Pete O’Rourke, Liverpool have valued Salah at £150 million, but Saudi Arabia still wants to buy him.
The journalist suggests that the 31-year-old Salah is seen by the Saudi Professional League as the next crucial signing. He doesn't believe the price will reach £200 million, but money is not an issue for the Saudi clubs. While Cristiano Ronaldo has already played in the country, Saudi Arabia sees Salah as the perfect ambassador for the league.
The journalist states that if Liverpool decides to sell the forward, such a stance would be advantageous for them as they could demand a higher fee. Liverpool offered £150 million to Saudi Arabia last summer, and a similar figure is expected this time. Additionally, sources have informed Football Insider that due to Salah's contract situation and Liverpool's impending new coach, Liverpool is more willing to make a deal now, and it's anticipated that the Saudis will offer a hefty sum. If this deal goes through, Klopp's successor, Slote, could utilize some of the funds to strengthen his squad.
