The 18 teams for the Asian World Cup qualifiers have been determined, and they will be divided into six pots based on the latest world rankings as of June.
The pots are as follows, with current world rankings in parentheses:
Pot 1: Japan (18), Iran (20), South Korea (23)
Pot 2: Australia (24), Qatar (34), Saudi Arabia (53)
Pot 3: Iraq (58), Uzbekistan (64), United Arab Emirates (67)
Pot 4: Jordan (71), Oman (77), Bahrain (80)
Pot 5: China (88), Palestine (93), Kyrgyzstan (100)
Pot 6: North Korea (118), Indonesia (134), Kuwait (139)
According to FIFA's official website, the next update of the world rankings will be on June 20.
