Posted on June 25, 2024
After Poland's early exit from the European Championship, Robert Lewandowski gave an interview to UEFA's official website, where he discussed whether he would retire from the Polish national team.
Lewandowski said, "I don't want to regret retiring too early in the future, especially when I can still keep playing. I also don't want to struggle with that decision when the time comes, but now is not the time to make that decision."
"I need to first feel the desire to retire from within. No one will influence my decision, only my family and myself. No one else will be involved."
Lewandowski continued, "I really don't know when this will happen, as various factors will affect this decision. Over the years, I have maintained good form and I still have great expectations. I not only strive to achieve my own dreams but also the dreams of the Polish people. This is my responsibility."
"I feel good in the Polish team. The atmosphere in the team is very pleasant, and I am not worried about my form."
