Posted on July 11, 2024

Indonesian Football Association official Arya Sinulingga was interviewed by Indonesian media. In the interview, the official discussed topics related to the upcoming final 18 rounds of the qualifiers.

Arya Sinulingga stated, "Shin Tae-yong's new contract does not include a hard goal of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup. His contract is valid until 2027. We don't want to set goals beyond his term, so Shin Tae-yong's task is to get the Indonesian national team into the top 100 in the world rankings."

Regarding naturalized players, the official said, "No one would oppose strengthening the team’s lineup, whether with naturalized players or local players. We are working hard to achieve this, and we have a dedicated task force. Please trust us, we will do our best."
