In the second round of the UEFA Nations League A, the Netherlands played to a 2-2 draw with Germany. After the match, Netherlands player Ryan Gravenberch gave an interview.

When asked about his phenomenal pass in the first half, Gravenberch said: "I saw Xavi Simons making a run, and I thought, if the pass is good, it's going to be great; if it's not, it’ll be bad. I felt the pass was absolutely perfect. On the field, you can really enjoy moments like that. It's a wonderful feeling, especially when you make a pass like that, and you can hear the crowd’s reaction. It felt truly perfect."

Speaking about the connection with his childhood friend Brian Brobbey in the Netherlands' first goal, Gravenberch said: "He played a very important role. Germany put us under a lot of pressure, and all you have to do is get the ball to Brobbey because he's so strong. We've known each other since youth football, starting when we were only seven or eight years old. I moved in to support him, and we just kept playing. Actually, my first touch was a bit far, but I managed to get past the defender and pass the ball. Reijnders went one-on-one with the goalkeeper and finished it well."

Gravenberch continued: "Looking back on the past week, it’s been really good. I'm also very happy to have gotten this opportunity. I showed my abilities and received a good evaluation. Now it's up to the national team coach's decision. I have to perform well at my club, so I can secure my place in the national team for the next international break."
