The first fan voting results for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game have been unveiled, showcasing a competitive race among some of the league's brightest stars. Leading the charge is Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, who garnered over 1.7 million votes, making him the top vote-getter overall. Close on his heels is Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokić, who leads the Western Conference with more than 1.4 million votes. Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum is also in the spotlight, receiving nearly 1.4 million votes as he continues to shine for his team.
Antetokounmpo is having a standout season, averaging a career-high 32.6 points per game while shooting an impressive 61% from the field. Alongside his scoring prowess, he contributes significantly with 11.6 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 1.4 blocks per game. His leadership has propelled the Bucks to a solid 17-14 record and he recently helped the team clinch the NBA Cup championship. Meanwhile, Jokić is not far behind in his pursuit of accolades, averaging 30.7 points, 13.0 rebounds, and 9.7 assists, showcasing his all-around skill set and efficiency.
Tatum, the driving force behind the defending champion Celtics, leads his squad with averages of 28.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game, guiding Boston to a strong 24-9 record. Additionally, Oklahoma City Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander stands out as the only guard to surpass 1 million votes, reflecting his critical role in leading the Thunder to a remarkable 27-5 record. As the voting period continues until January 20, anticipation builds for the announcement of the All-Star Game starters on January 23. This year's All-Star Game will feature a new format, transforming the traditional game into a four-team tournament, adding an exciting twist to the annual showcase.
