Teams Would Offer Blazers First-Round Pick For Tyler Herro In 3-Way Damian Lillard Trade
Posted on July 24, 2023
The Portland Trail Blazers are not interested in acquiring Tyler Herro from the Miami Heat in a potential Damian Lillard trade, according to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Teams would offer the Blazers a first-round pick for Herro in a three-way Lillard trade.
“Portland doesn’t want guard Tyler Herro and the four years and $120 million owed on his extension, but there are teams that have told ESPN they would surrender a good first-round pick to the Blazers — maybe something more — to become a facilitator by taking on Herro in a three-way deal,” Woj wrote.
Lillard has requested a trade from the Blazers and wants to get traded to the Heat. Portland is not high on Herro and has no interest in acquiring him, so a third team would be needed for Lillard to land in Miami.
