Joao Felix Joins AC Milan on Loan from Chelsea

Chelsea forward Joao Felix has officially joined AC Milan on a loan deal until the end of the season. The Italian club has agreed to pay a £5 million loan fee for the 25-year-old Portugal international, with no obligation to purchase him outright in the summer. This transition comes after Felix's mixed tenure at Chelsea, where he initially signed a seven-year contract following a £45 million move from Atletico Madrid.

The loan deal was finalized just before the transfer deadline, allowing Felix to seek more playing time after starting only three Premier League matches this season. Although he did feature regularly in cup competitions, scoring seven goals, his opportunities were limited due to competition for places in Chelsea's attack. Notably, he has struggled to secure a consistent starting position amid the presence of other players such as Cole Palmer and the retention of Christopher Nkunku.

Felix’s move to Milan marks another chapter in his career, which has seen him previously loaned to both Chelsea and Barcelona while he was still at Atletico Madrid. The forward aims to rediscover the potential he showcased during his early days at Benfica. As AC Milan currently sits eighth in Serie A, they hope Felix can contribute to their push for success in both the league and upcoming cup competitions.
