Manchester City Approaches Deal for Omar Marmoush
Posted on January 17, 2025
Manchester City is reportedly close to finalizing a deal for Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush, having reached a verbal agreement between the two clubs. The 25-year-old Egyptian international has been in impressive form, scoring 15 goals in the Bundesliga this season. Marmoush made his move to Eintracht Frankfurt on a free transfer from Wolfsburg in 2023 and has since established himself as a key player.
While the agreement is a significant step forward, the transfer has not yet been officially completed. City is also working on additional signings, including Brazilian teenage defender Vitor Reis, who is set to undergo a medical examination ahead of his transfer from Palmeiras. Furthermore, the club has expressed interest in Juventus left-back Andrea Cambiaso, although discussions for this transfer are reportedly not as advanced, and there is no assurance that it will be concluded this month.
As Manchester City continues to strengthen its squad, Marmoush's potential addition could enhance their attacking options and further bolster their pursuit of success in domestic and European competitions. The club has yet to confirm the signing of Uzbekistan defender Abdukodir Khusanov, despite having agreed on a transfer fee with Lens.
