Lakers Dealt Concerning LeBron James News Amid Struggles
Posted on December 06, 2024
The Los Angeles Lakers have lost four of their last six and LeBron James is playing some of the worst basketball of his career. The team has been outscored by 111 points when he's been on the court this season, which is the worst +/- on the team.
Head coach JJ Redick recently admitted that perhaps James' goal of playing all 82 games wouldn't be in the best interest of the team. While he hasn't been playing his best basketball, James is still averaging 23.1 points per game to go with 9.4 assists and 8.2 rebounds. The Lakers are already injury-riddled this season and got some more bad injury news on Thursday.
Los Angeles announced on their injury report that James is questionable to play on Friday against the Atlanta Hawks due to left foot soreness. Considering starting guard Austin Reaves has already been ruled out for the game, the Lakers could be without two of their best playmakers.
James has yet to miss a game this season so it remains to be seen if he'll take the day off to nurse his foot back to health. The Hawks are playing well and have won five in a row so the Lakers will have to hope that James can heal in time for the game.
