Tyrese Haliburton Confirms Leg Injury Is 'Fine,' Ready for NBA Finals Game 3

Posted on June 11, 2025

Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton has assured fans and teammates that his recent leg injury will not hinder his availability for Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Addressing concerns after appearing to limp following a loss in Game 2, Haliburton stated, "I'm fine. Really just a lower leg thing... I feel fine, and I'll be ready to go for Game 3."

Haliburton's injury had raised eyebrows after he struggled in the second game of the Finals, scoring only three points and recording three assists in the first half as the Pacers fell behind by 18 points at halftime. However, he managed to finish the game with 17 points despite the discomfort. Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle also downplayed any concerns, noting that at this stage of the season, "I don't know anybody's feeling perfect," but he expressed confidence in Haliburton's ability to contribute.

The Pacers will need Haliburton at his best to reclaim the series lead as they head into their next matchup on Wednesday. With the pressure mounting, Haliburton must improve his first-half performances to help his team secure a crucial victory at home. His ability to bounce back from the injury and deliver a strong performance will be key as the Pacers look to regain momentum in the Finals.
